This has been an unpaid blog-o-mercial for the “Slowcooking Really Simplifies Life, Yo” (SRSLY) method. The people behind this have not been sacked, as this is their blog. No moose bites were incurred during the making of this blog-o-mercial. Limited time offers may be available on an unlimited basis. SRSLY does not slice, dice, or make julienne fries, and is not endorsed by Ron Popeil or a small Australian man in a bowtie. We don’t actually know what we’re talking about, but we like to pretend we do. We are not experts on anything, so please do not take SRSLY too seriously.

So I tried this yesterday after getting back from a massive meat buying expedition. I just put everything in tupperware without cooking, even the meats & liquids. Is that correct? It seems somehow wrong to me, but I will trust your experience. :-) Also, do uncooked potatoes and cabbage freeze? Thanks!

    @ Jodi -

That’s it! It does feel weird, and wrong, but once it all sits in a slow cooker for a few hours, it’s all good. :)
It’s been my experience that raw potatoes freeze just fine. I’ve never freezing raw cabbage, though. Is it in a soup?

As Mom, I can stick my nose in here. Hi water content veggies will freeze better if par-boiled and cooled before freezing.
