Either I'm the last person to learn how to do this, or it's a huge secret about to bust wide open all over the interwebs: it's almost impossible to overcook rice in the microwave. No, really. Here's how:
500g (about 4 cups) white or basmati rice, rinsed
3 cups of water
salt to taste
butter to taste (optional)
