Boo! Where did you go! Here I was thinking, “Dani and Mer will have TOTALLY AWESOME holiday ideas for me!” And you did not! And so I ended up not cooking at all on Christmas and serving really lame drinks on New Year’s Eve! Your fault… ALL YOUR FAULT!

Okay, not really. But I hope y’all are just recuperating from the holidays and not, say, in the hospital as a result of the holidays.

(Er, I was once an Ubuntu-questioner from ParentingToddlers.net. In case this seems overly familiar or something. :P)

Spanky: generally speaking, if you need to do something special in the procedure, we’ll let you know, but you bring up a good point. You don’t need to worry about making sure everything is homogeneous in the pot, but you do probably want to give it a good stir or two to make sure everything is wet, especially if you have a “roaster” or broad flat slow cooker like we do, as opposed to a traditional tall, narrow “soup” pot. However, as long as you don’t see any piles of dry spice sitting somewhere in your slow cooker, and you give it a good stir before you serve, you’re probably good to go.

When you say “Combine all ingredients in slow cooker; cook on low heat for 4-6 hours”can you elaborate on what you mean. I’m not sure if I should just put all the ingredients together in the pot and let it go; or if I need to put them in in a certain order; or if I need to stir everything to make a uniform mixture. Sorry - some of us really are newbies
